Title: Gouda Molds, Professional - Laude vs Kadova Brand

Dear Cheese Friends

I've been quoted €145 each for a 1kg complete Laude Baby Gouda mould. This seems very very expensive; in fact an over-inflated price. I saw Kadova moulds for about €75 each (complete). Is there any real difference between them?

Please help! I look forward to introducing myself a little later. Thanks :o

Hi Capricapers, sorry but I've never heard of Laude brand molds and that is a fortune for 1, especially since I assume you need several. Even EUR75 for a 1 kg Kadova Brand seems a bit steep compared to prices here in US.

Thanks for your opinion and for trying to help. I've found a slightly cheaper price and will try out a few. They're supposed to be the Rolls Royce of cheese moulds so will let you know how I get on!
